Friends, I’m very, very grateful to report that Crossway has agreed to publish my first book. The tentative title of the project is:
Digital Liturgies: Rediscovering Christian Wisdom in an Online Age
This is a thrilling, nerve-wracking, humbling, and exciting development for me. As I’ve thought over the past few years about the role that our digital technologies play in shaping our hearts and minds, I feel strongly that a Christian counter-movement against the spirit of the age is both necessary and imminent. The message of this book has been marinating in these newsletters, on websites and blogs and in my mind for several years. By the providence of the Lord, I want to make what little contribution I can to helping the church take every thought and tweet captive to the mind of Christ.
There will be much more to say about this in the weeks ahead. For now, I want to express gratitude and appreciation for so many people for their encouragement, sharpening, kindness, and forbearance with me. And I want to say thank you to all the readers of this newsletter, whose investment of time, money, attention, and feedback have been invaluable and will continue to be invaluable. It is undeserved, but is much treasured. The lines have fallen for me in pleasant places.
More soon.

I'm Writing a Book!
Samuel, I found this site in my quest to seek you out after your talk at the Serious Joy conference earlier this week. I wanted to ask you for the manuscript of your talk because it was so wonderfully well written, and I couldn’t keep up in my note taking. Now I see that a book is forthcoming. That’s good news. I assume what I heard Monday will be in the book. If so, I’ll wait impatiently for publication. If not, is there a way I can get my hands on Monday’s talk on digital liturgies?
I'm very much looking forward to reading this.
