I agree that #3 seems most likely. Lord, help us.

I eagerly read this article of yours Samuel because I have experienced the allure of the anti-woke crowd, agreed with their concerns but then became suspicious myself of some of the ways they've communicated online or in podcasts. Thank you for your wise warnings here but I think there's a lot more to be said in terms of how we should be discipling the current and next generation of believers so as to avoid falling into these ditches where we take to arms about everything, living and doing ministry in the extremes of every debatable position. Does that make sense? For me, I think it helps to always go back to basics and rather than binge watch Netflix, binge read Proverbs and constantly ask God for wisdom on how to live in this world as the exiles and sojourners we are. Blessings to you and keep writing!!!

I wonder, and as a Christian, how do you reconcile your wokeness with your faith? Because wokeness in Christianity equates to a watered down or rather a “Luke warm” version Certainly not Bible driven but socially driven via particular goals disguised as racism. To go along with this wokeness theory is to agree or be ok with numerous immoralities.

Ahh, but you fail to consider the more likely scenario that wokeness itself will collapse under the weight of its own hubris. As an atheist who appreciates the importance of our Judeo-Christian foundations, and sees the contemporary distortions of the Enlightenment as passing aberration, it is the responsibility of the Evangelical movement to provide clear and safe passage through the flotsam that remains after that collapse. Winning and losing, success and failure are secular ideals. Even decadence is measured on a human,i.e., moral scale. Your leaders will be remembered not for whether they won or lost, or became lost but for how they ensured the Truth remained spoken, rejoiced, and lived.

It's an interesting thought experiment, but I do think that along with this, the woke movement itself will fizzle out - just like the Emergent one did. It seems to me this will be the most likely outcome to be honest. Not only has "woke" become a term completely stripped of any coherent meaning (I mean, what does it mean anyway?) but it seems to be eating itself up. It's been a ride for political opportunists, but perhaps in 5 years time the main talking points will be different.
