Hi friends,
It’s been such a pleasure to relaunch this Substack. I’ve already hear from many of you such encouraging comments about the content. Thank you! There’s no better thing for a writer than to hear from those who are helped by the writing. It makes it all worth it.
I’m excited to announce that starting today, I’ll be offering options for those who would like to financially support Insights. For those who just want to keep it free, you’ll continue to get 1 public post per week. For those who subscribe for $5 per month, you’ll get that free post + an extra post per week. You’ll also get a new kind of post called “Annotations,” where I feature books I’m reading and think through them with discussion notes.
I am incredibly grateful for all readers, including those who just want to keep getting the free content. If this newsletter has added something to your regular reading life, though, I would humbly ask: Would you consider supporting it? Insights is a project I love: trying hard to think about God’s word and God’s world clearly, resisting the temptations of lazy and self-justifying thinking. I want to think upstream in a polarized, technologically-compromised age.
If this sounds like a vision you can get behind, please consider adding your support. For those who just want to look forward to free posts, thank you deeply for your reading, and I hope to keep hearing from you!
God bless each of you.

Would you consider supporting Insights?
At the moment? No. Soon? Yes. Would I continue? Maybe...if there was more dialogue in the comments perhaps.
I comment because I, too, miss those early days in the 'aughts when comments and discussions were more common. A substack comprised of an audience with a little bit of skin in the game seems like a perfect place to stimulate such a thing again. Am I the only one who misses this?
